Antique Edwardian (1901-1914) paste sterling silver oval pendant. This stunning pendant features cut glass paste stones set in a graduated circle, set into a collet (also know as bezel) setting. The collets are crimped at the edges and slightly cut back to give the illusion of prongs, this type of setting was widely used in the Georgian era. The pendant hangs from a new 9ct rose gold Belcher chain. The piece comes with its original purple velvet and leather moulded box with a silk lining.
The necklace is in excellent condition, measuring 3.2cm / 1.2" in height and 2.5cm / 0.9 in width. The pendant hangs from an 18" rose gold chain.
